Facebook Friends

I have been on Facebook for a while now and have been able to catch up with some friends that I have not seen or heard from in about 10 years. One such friend, Bel, I went through high school with and I don't know why we didn't keep in touch after high school, I guess our lives just took us on different paths. Mine with Dean and hers with Glen. We have been able to catch up on Facebook and I am so pleased that we found each other. We both have kids now and I am in Wagga and she is still in Canberra (in the suburb that I grew up in too!! :-) ) I am hoping that we will be able to catch up before the year is out. It will be so good to see her again. I would have loved to have been able to get up there for Bel's birthday, but because I had the wedding on, I had already said that I would go to the wedding.


Now Bel and I were a bit norty when we were teenagers. I smoked my first cigarette with Bel. I think I also drank my first alcoholic drink with her too etc. There were other things but I better keep quiet about them!! HAHAHA

I have also caught up with a few others and am really chuffed to be able to be in contact with them again. It is really amazing how you join one group on Facebook and you find people from your past that you have thought about through the years and have wondered what they are up to and now I know!!

The Wedding

I went to the wedding yesterday and it was beautiful. The ceremony was a Catholic ceremony and when the boys and I saw the booklet we all looked at each other as though to say "Oh shit, this is going to take forever!" But it only went for about 25 minutes and even by the end of it, my back was killing me for sitting in the pew for that long. I am amazed that the church did not crumble around me when I walked in the door!! LOL With all the sins that I have committed!! LOL I can now understand why so many young people don't want to go to church. The pews that we were sitting on were so bloody uncomfortable!!

The bride looked like a princess. She truly looked beautiful. Her dress was absolutely beautiful and she made a perfect choice with the style of dress that she picked. The groom looked very smick and you could not take the smile of their faces. You can tell that they love each other so much and are very well suited to each other. And her Dad (my boss) had the biggest smile on his face. He looked like a big cheshire cat with his grin!!

The reception was pretty good and by the time that I had gotten to the reception I had a few Jacks under my belt and was feeling great!! LOL And then it was on to the Champagne. Probably not the best mix, but I don't feel hungover this morning, considering I thought it was really going to hurt me!! LOL We (my work mates) left the reception a bit earlier as my head was pounding (I don't like this sinus infection) and we decided to head back to near where I live. So once we got to the pub, I was able to walk home and get changed out of my dress and take some antibiotics.

Oh and I was wearing a dress. It is such a unusual thing for me to wear a dress, that my Mum came over before I went to the wedding and was really happy snappy and taking heaps of pictures of me!! My boss kept on telling people to take pictures of me, to actually show that I was in a dress and not pants and a top!! LOL

Anyway the wedding was a pretty good event and I was so pleased to be invited. When I get the pics of me in a dress, I will definitely have to post them. No one can believe it!! LOL

Bloody Antibiotics!!

Well I went to the Dr. today and it is no wonder that I have had what I thought was a migraine for the past month. It looks as though I have had a sinus infection the whole time. No wonder my head has been pounding!! I went to the chemist this morning and got some sinus tablets and they seemed to help a bit, but after going to the Dr. and getting some antibiotics and only taking one, I am already starting to feel better! There is only one problem.... being on antibiotics I am not supposed to drink on the weekend. Its the wedding this weekend!! Stuff not drinking!! I am going to wipe myself out!! LOL

Not Long Till The Wedding!!

Yeah, yeah I bet you are wondering, when the hell is nortynessy getting married? Like that is ever going to happen!! It would take a very special man to get me to marry him!! LOL Actually maybe a very crazy man would be more of a description!! LOL

No its not me getting married, it is the girl that I work with. I am so excited for her and I have been working with her for over 5 months now and I have watched the process happen. She is so excited and you can't take the smile off her face. Plus she is marrying a really nice, decent guy. They are truly well suited to each other.

Anyway because I have been watching/listening and even advising on this wedding, I am getting really excited about going. I have to go shopping on Wednesday and try to find a dress, yeah picture that nortynessy in a dress!! LOL I will definitely post pics when I get some!! But I guess that I am really excited that I get to get on the piss with my work collegues. Because I work for a transport company, there are mostly male employees and I get on pretty well with all of them, so it is going to be great to get on the piss and pay the piss out of them!! LOL

Oh and then there is the grog subject. I keep on freaking the bride out, that I am going to drink her bar tab dry!! LOL I will certainly give it a good try though!! LOL I know that I am going to have a huge hangover the next day, so it is going to be a very sore and sorry trip up to Young with my Mum driving (I won't be in any state to drive!!) to pick Princess Madds up from her fathers. Hopefully I won't have to stop too many times!! LOL

Anyway wish me luck, nortynessy in a formal dress at a wedding!! Holy crap, who would have thought!! LOL

Boredom

Well tonight I am pretty bored. The Princess Madds has left the building to go to McDonalds with our neighbours for dinner and so I am here by myself with a bottle of JD!! I have almost finished the second glass and am wondering why I am so bored and what can I do. Yes, I could be cleaning the house, yes I could be doing other boring shit, but here I am bored on the internet!! So naturally I am going to all the links that Rach has suggested to give me a bit of a laugh and so it is the church sign generator again. So here is my latest church sign for you all!! LOL

Well my beloved Chester has broken his wrist. Poor Chester, I will play his nurse!! LOL Apparently he did it in the second Melbourne show (I was at the first) and he continued on with the concert. What a champion effort!!

Bloody Hell!!!!

Well I am a pretty tired chicky at the moment. As most people who know me, they know that I love my sleep. If I get ten hours a night, I am one happy girl. Well last night, I thought I might sit up a bit and watch some Austar, so I decided to go to bed around 11pm. Anyway I get changed, do the usual bathroom stuff and then crawl into bed. And what do I hear next??

MY NEXT DOOR NEIGHBOURS F**KING!!!! Argh!!! Anyway this lasted for about five minutes, (musn't take much to keep her happy!! LOL Or he needs some nasal technology!! LOL) when the noise ceases. And I think peace at last, those dirty F**kers, have a bit of respect, I do if I have someone here!!! But anyway after I have fumed for a minute or so, I drift into a deep sleep.

Then at 5.45am this morning Madds and I are awoken to the sound of.... MY NEXT DOOR NEIGHBOURS F**KING!!! Argh!!! Now I am really pissed off!!! So I slap the wall as hard as I can and yell at them "You do have neighbours you know!!" And guess what happened!!! The noise stopped!!

Now I know you are more than likely wondering why I am so pissed off about this. Its not the fact that they were getting a bit and I wasn't!! LOL It was the fact that they were loud enough to wake Madds up and she was then asking me what they were doing etc. So I have just told her that they were being noisy, I didn't know what the f**k to say!! And at 5.45am I am barely alive, let alone awake!!!

So ofcourse being that I have now fully woken up, I decide to just stay awake. Not such a good idea for Norty Nessy!! I need sleep!! But now here it almost 4pm and I am already buggered and feel like going and having a nap!!

Ah well, I guess I will just have to pay my neighbours back next time!! LOL

Linkin Park Concert

Well here goes!! I had the best time at the concert on Sunday night. I honestly think that Linkin Park sound better live than what they do on CD. I went mad with the recordings and videos that I could take on my mobile phone!!

They played all the favourites. I think they played every single song that I wanted them to play. The best song I think would have been a toss up between Bleed It Out and they did an accoustic version of Breaking The Habit, which sounded bloody awesome!! They also played Numb, Faint, What I've Done, Crawling, One Step Closer (it really got the crowd going), they pretty much played songs that they knew were the crowds favourites and it really got the crowd singing etc. The only thing that I can say that disappointed me was the fact that they only played for an hour and forty minutes. But the fact that they played all the songs that I love made up for that. I would definitely pay $100 again to see them again. The only other thing that disappointed me was that I was not in the mosh pit. Every concert that I have been to before this one, I have been in the mosh pit, so it was unusual being at a concert like this and having to be in seating. But we had some really cool guys that were behind us (oh and yes one was extremely hot!! And I would have liked to have taken him home!!LOL) and because I was struggling to see (yes I am a shortarse!! LOL) they got me to stand with them so that I could see better.

Oh and Chris Cornell was the opening act. He was o.k. I am not a huge Chris Cornell fan to be honest. I am a bit of a Soundgarden fan and was pleased when he played Black Hole Sun and Spoonman (especially Spoonman), but he just didn't sound as good as the CD's. But hey that is just my opinion.

Now onto the Chester subject!! F**k me!! Holy shit he is hot!! I was drooling the moment that I saw him and then holy crap when he took his shirt off, I was almost (ah anyway you get the picture!! LOL) He has currently saved his head, and I am not too sure if that is my favourite look for him. I have always liked the bleached blonde spikey hair look with glasses!! Oh my god he was still so bloody hot!! And the tattoos!! They are awesome!! I love his tattoos!!

Anyway that is all that I can think of at the moment, but I am sure that I will think of other s**t later and will put it on here.

Oh yeah I forgot!! My bro sounded so funny!! Alot of the video footage and recordings that I got at the concert, you can hear his big boof head singing his heart out!! He had the best time and I am so glad that I was able to make him happy after all the f**king shit he has been through. He also had almost no voice by the time that we walked out and even the next day he could barely talk. I had a pretty s**t voice for the next few days, but I wasn't anywhere near as bad as my bro.

Melbourne Trip

Well I have arrived back safely from Melbourne. Oh what a trip!! What a weekend. I am so exhausted, but the whole weekend was worth it. The concert was great, but am going to do a blog on that tomorrow as it will take too long and I am way too tired.

We got to Em's at about 4pm on Saturday afternoon and I was buggered after all the driving, but I had to have a drink!! I need to get into better pissform (so does Em!! LOL) and so I cracked open the bottle of JD. So we had a drink then went to the shop to get some food for dinner. My brother is such a bargain hunter and picked up some awesome steak really cheap (and it tasted bloody good too) and then it was back to Em's for a night of drinking and BBQing.

I was really surprised too, at how well my bro and Em got along. They hit it off so well and were laughing the whole time.

Em ended up taking us to the Royal hotel in the main area of her suburb and my god!! They scanned my ID, then also took my photo on a webcam and then I was finally allowed in the door. Apparently this has to do with lots of fights etc. We only stayed for one drink as it was not the best pub that I have ever been too. But I can tell you when Em comes up here, it is going to be one hell of a pub crawl!! (Shit I really better get into pissform!!)

Then Sunday I got to go and meet one of my friends that I have been chatting to for months on the internet. It was so good to finally meet her. We met at Williamstown Esplanade and it was a pretty nice day actually. There was a bit of wind, but it was nice to see the beach and just sit there with friends, and relax. It was also just great to spend time with Em. She is such an awesome chick. I am really lucky to be able to call her a friend.

We then headed back to Em's and I had a bit of a lie down before we got ready to leave for the concert.

2 Days to go!!

Its only 2 days till I get to see Linkin Park!! F**k yeah!! I have watched my brother's Live in Texas DVD quite a few times and if that is anything to go by, it is going to be one hell of a concert. I guess I am hoping that they will play a few of my favourite songs, so I am hoping they will play Faint, Breaking the Habit, Crawling, Numb, Bleed It Out and Points of Authority. Yes, I have lots of favourites, but out of all of them, I think Crawling would have to be all time favourite.

I guess alot of people are sitting there wondering why I am so excited?? I am such a rock/metal chick at heart. Since I have gotten a bit older I have started to listen to all different styles of music, but Rock and Metal will always be my favourite. Nothing beats putting the ipod on and having Metallica, Linkin Park etc going full blast!! And if you can cranking the stereo up fully and blasting your neighbours out as well!! LOL

I spoke to Em last night and I think she is about as excited as I am about me coming down there. Em is a champion and I can't wait to see her. I also get to catch up with a few other people (including another norty one!), although after tomorrow night with Em, I don't know how well I am going to be feeling on Sunday. Ah well f**k it, you only live once. My liver may be dead by the time that I return home, but thats all good!! Em has this drink that she was telling me about that we are going to test on my brother. Its got five different types of alcohol in it and it is called a venom of some sort. Oh god, he is going to be trashed. But hey this is my brother I am talking about and he is trashed alot of the time!! LOL

I have started charging the batteries for the camera, although I wish I had the digital video camera/digital camera that my parents are buying me for Christmas now. It would be so good to have one of those down there. Although I can't take it into the concert, I am hoping I might be able to get some shots with my mobile phone. Yes, I know that is norty and I am not supposed to do that, but hey I am Norty Nessy!! So I will post lots of pics on here when I get back.

Bloody Glasses!!

Well I had to have an appointment today and went and had my eyes tested. Apparently overall, I have pretty good vision. I can see great at long distances, but put me in front of a computer and I start squinting and apparently that ain't good. So from now on, I need to wear glasses whenever I am using a computer. Ah bloody hell. Norty Nessy with glasses!! Who would have thought!! Certainly not Norty Nessy!!! LOL I got a rather cheap pair of glasses, considering what I thought I would have to pay out, so that is atleast one good thing. And they seem to look alright, just wonder how everyone at work is going to take it tomorrow that I need them!!

Anyway I will update with a picture when I get them tomorrow.

Phone Call

I just got the most awesome phone call. Here I was sitting at home, cutting out pictures for my Mum's 50th Birthday invitations, pretty god damn bored, when the phone rang. There was no one there on the end of the line for about 10 seconds and then this pommie voice comes over the line!!

Rach you are a bloody legend!! You have made my night!! It was so bloody awesome to talk to you and you are such a great person!! You have really put a smile on my face and made me laugh so much!!

Now don't you go getting a swollen head!! I know what you are like!! LOL

Lets just hope we can get you down to Oz soon enough and have you riding bloody Kangaroos!! LOL I could just see you doing or should I say trying that!! HAHAHAHA

More Random Crap

Today has been a pretty ordinary day, nothing happened out of the usual. Went to work, came home, had a bit of a nap and now I am sitting here watching Neighbours.

Am in a bit of a reflective mood today. So here is some of my ramblings!!

Am a bit tired of the way that some people conduct themselves. Why is it that people feel the need to use others for their own advantage? Do they not think that others have feelings and that they may be hurting that person? Why are some people just straight out users? Why don't people treat others how they wish to be treated anymore? What is happening in this world? It seems that everyone is out to get something for themselves, and don't care who they hurt in the process. I guess this all comes from the situation that my bro has found himself in and the pain and hurt that I have seen him go through in the past two months. It amazes me how he has conducted himself and how strong he has been considering what has been done to him. Love ya bro!!

Anyway I am hopping off my soapbox now!!

Extremely Tired!!

Last night was such a shitty night. I swear I got about 3 hours sleep max!! I feel so exhausted right now!! And I wasn't able to come home after work and have a Mummy nap at all!! I had a meeting to go to, that I thought would only take an hour but ended up taking an hour and a half and then my Dad wanted my bro and I to go to dinner with him, so there went any suggestion of me getting a nap. But one can certainly hope that I get a good nights sleep tonight!!

Today has been a relatively boring day when it all boils down to it. I would love to be able to spill the beans on this meeting that I went to, but it will have to wait a little while, till I know what is going on.

6 days till Linkin Park!! F**k I am so excited!! I only am literally almost wetting myself with excitement!! God help Em, when we get down there, because I am going to be full of f**king beans that is for sure!! LOL

Bloody Fords!!

What is it with the teams that I pick this year!! Bloody hell!! First the Sea Eagles lost, now the bloody Fords won Bathurst!! I really don't mind that Craig Lowndes won Bathurst, just because he is an all round good guy and he is a bloody awesome race car driver. Just too bad he drives for the wrong team!! He is very deserving, although I would rather see a Holden take out Bathurst.

Next year I will be there again and hopefully I will get to witness Holden taking out Bathurst.

I just spoke to my Dad and he is pretty chuffed that Craig Lowndes won. Then five minutes later my mobile is ringing again and it says that it is my Dad calling. But it was my school mate Shane ringing from my Dads phone to give me hurry curry about Fords taking out Bathurst again. He is such a smartarse and he is going to get it when we catch up!! LOL

Bathurst 1000

I had to make a choice between going to Linkin Park or going to the V8's at Bathurst this year. I have not missed a year at Bathurst since 2001. I love going to Bathurst. I have had some awesome times there!! (And norty times there!! But what happens at Bathurst, stays at Bathurst ;)) One reason I absolutely love going is because I catch up with some of the guys that I went to school with. It is the one time of year that we can all catch up, get on the piss and have a good time. One of my school friends is an up and coming race car driver. He will drive in the V8's one day I am sure, he is that good!! I spoke with him last night and he kept on saying "Ness, how come you aren't here?" Trying to explain to him that I had to make a choice between Bathurst and Linkin Park was so hard, considering Bathurst is our biggest social event of the year!! LOL

I also got to speak to another school mate who lives up in Toowoomba and we were talking about me going up there to stay with him!! How exciting!! It was so good to talk to him because he has not been at Bathurst for the past couple of years and I have really missed seeing him there. He is just one of those all round good guys. Actually all of the boys that go to Bathurst are!! So look at Toowoomba when Shane and I get up there and on the piss!! HAHAHAHA

So right now, I am having a big, "I wish I was at Bathurst moment!"

Oh for my international friends, Bathurst 1000 is our biggest car racing event. Sort of like the US Daytona 500. It is Holdens vs. Fords and it is a massive event. Being a mechanics daughter, I naturally love cars and the fact that my Dad is also an Australian Title holder in Hillclimb racing means that I grew up on the side of a race track. I guess it is in the blood!!

I will definitely be back at Bathurst next year!! I ain't missing two years in a row!! :)

Stuie's Farewell

My darling Stuie had his farewell last night. I am so sad to see him go. He is moving to Canberra, I guess to spread his wings, so to speak. It was at Stuie's parents place and there was only a few of us, so it was really relaxed and we all just drank and got merry!

We had a great time last night. Although today, I feel so doey!! I drank a shitload of Jack's last night. And this morning I woke up feeling so seedy and just not with it!! But it was worth it!!

We had so much fun and laughed so much. Stuie is someone that just makes me laugh and smile. He is an awesome guy, who is loyal and just great to be around. I feel really lucky to call him a friend.

I am now waiting for Stuie to email all the pictures that we took last night and when he does, I will add them all to here. But here are a couple for now. By the end of the night, I was looking a little worse for wear, but I stumbled in the door and pretty much fell into bed.

Luckily, I didn't have to pay for a cab to get home. Stuie lives not far from my Mum's place, so she gave me a lift home. I called her and was so drunk and apparently all I was saying to her was "Wendy I'm stuck, come get me!!" My Mum always tells us if we are drunk and can't get home to call her and she will come get us. Bad thing that she told us that I think!!

Anyway it was a great night had by all and I hope to go to Canberra soon and party it up with him!!

Pucker Up!!

Princess Madds has entered the building!!

Princess Madds has entered the building!! So far, she has kicked me off the computer, played the playstation, eaten a shitload of krispy kremes that were for myself and her nanny and not paid any attention to her Mummy!! The joys of having a 7 year old!! But I would not have her any other way. Right now, she is sitting pretty much right next to me, playing Raw Vs. Smackdown on the playstation and I must say that I think she is getting pretty good at it!! She just won a match, that's pretty impressive to me, I certainly wouldn't be able to do it!! Plus she is so excited, because she is a female on the game and just beat a boy!! How exciting for her!! LOL

Tomorrow morning she leaves here and goes to stay with my brother (the other norty one!! LOL) and then my Dad picks her up and takes her up to stay with her Dad for 8 days. I really miss her when she is not here. The house is just so quiet without her. I need that noise around me. I also don't sleep very well when she is not in the house, so for the past four nights, I have had really shitty nights sleeps. So I am tired and hopefully I might sleep a bit better tonight, knowing that she is here with me. And hopefully I don't get any phone calls!!

Princess Madds had a wonderful time with her Nanny and Poppy. They spoil her rotten. She came home with a new clothes, thongs (shoes) and krispy kremes for us!! They took her to so many places and I can't believe all the things that they fitted in to five days!! The greatest thing about her going though, was seeing how happy Princess Madds was and how happy her Nanny and Poppy were because they were seeing her. It makes it all worthwhile.

Anyway I am going to try and get this Princess into bed and hopefully get a good nights sleep.

Random Thoughts

Well here I am again and this blog is just going to be on random thoughts that are running through this pretty little head of mine!!

Well today I went to work. Not much happened there, it is our end of month, so we were a bit busy, actually I was really busy!! But it made the time go faster and I don't mind what we were doing.

I have had something on my mind for a little while now and I guess I have finally made a decision about it. My heart says one thing and my head says another. I am normally someone that listens to my heart, however I have been listening to my heart about this situation and it doesn't seem to be right, so my head is taking over and I have made my decision. I will update later on this situation and how it pans out. This situation has been stressing me out for some time now, so I think it is about time that I did something about it!!

My favourite song right now is Dance Floor Anthem by Good Charlotte. I love the first verse to this song. It goes:

Princess Madds has officially left the building!! We got to Gundagai a bit before 12 yesterday and almost every two minutes on the drive up there, Madds was asking "how long Mummy??" Oh my she was shitting me to tears!!! I was ready to give her away!! LOL

But seeing the excitement on her face and her Nan and Pop's faces when they saw each other was priceless. They love each other so much and I am glad that I can be the one that makes sure she gets to see them, spend time with them and always know how very much they love and idolise her. And I know how much they appreciate the fact that I allow her to go and stay with them and that I know she is extremely well cared for and I don't have to worry about anything.

Princess Madds called yesterday afternoon when they got home, to let me know that they had arrived safely and she was so excited!! They had taken her to Cockington Green (a tourist spot in Canberra) and they had taken her on the steam train and she was just so happy. It makes my heart soar to know that she is that happy and that I was the one that organised it!!

Not fair!!!

Well it is the morning after the Grand Final. How devastated am I? I had said all a long that we weren't going to win, but there was that piece in my heart that was hoping against hope that we would win. Hopefully we can do as well as we did this year and make the Grand Final again next year.

You should have heard the profanities that came out of my mouth!! I can swear like a trooper, but I think even my mother would have cringed if she had heard some of the things that I said!! But ah well it is football and I am allowed to!! Well that is my excuse and I am sticking to it!!

My head hurts!! I have a headache and I don't like it!! Yes, I did have some Jacks last night although I am thinking that maybe I didn't have enough!!! I am debating about having a few drinks today, seen as though it is a public holiday, but I don't really want to go to work with a hangover tomorrow morning. I don't know if it would be appreciated!! LOL

Now I have to go to the front door and take down the Manly poster I had up there, with a sad little look on my face. Not happy Jan!!!
